ABOUT WEST AFRICAN UNION UNIVERSITY (WAUU)

The West African Union University (WAUU) is a private university situated in Cotonou, Benin. It was founded in 2014, having been registered with the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Benin. As of 2015, there are some 50 on-campus students from Nigeria and Benin, as well as some 400 distance learning students running different programs in Nigeria.

The story behind the West African Union University (WAUU) Cotonou Benin Republic was more remarkable, beginning from a low-level perspective as the Reputation Tutorial Centre, the actions of a small organization that put on itself the responsibility of providing well-defined tutorial services to young people who had taken national examinations, such as WAEC-SSCE and JAMB, both inLagos and Owo, Ondo State.

The excellent result obtained within two to three years of this well-nourished tutorial program forced the institution to seek association with the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Otto-Ijanikin, Lagos, as managing director of the Dopemu-Agege Satellite Center of the College of Education in 2005 with more than 100 students.

The Center’s excellent performance in the first year of its operation has made it the best organizing center for 2006. The organization’s service was further progressed in 2007 with PECOX Global Inv. Ltd was registered and, in 2009, Prestige Educational Consultancy Ltd was incorporated as a limited liability company in respect of its former business name status.

West African Union University (WAUU) Cotonou Benin Republic aims, among other things, to build very conscious young Africans who are determined to turn the fortunes of this great continent to the best, in particular to raise all levels of manpower needs in all sectors of our daily lives and to enshrine a new value system for the continent by meeting the challenges of the Millennium Dev.

Since then, our operations have been revamped to fulfill all the goals of the continental goals of a better African community, where powerful leaders are abundantly available to create a more providential, prosperous, efficient, secure and common African community.

West African Union University (WAUU) Cotonou Benin Republic is not only poised to contribute to the technical growth and overall development of the nations of Africa, but also to jealously protect its environment and feed it to a high level of productivity by bringing in graduates of full baked status who are well in tune with the torch of excellent academic programs of the University of Africa.

The the need to build a future for the army of young people in Africa who are totally committed to building lasting legacies has put a greater burden on the promoter of this young university to contribute its quota to the transformation of the continent by affordable , quality education of an international standard.

The desire for prospective yet talented young men and women of African descent has now been addressed by the establishment of the West African Union University (WAUU) Cotonou Benin Republic in order to acquire high-tech academic and professional expertise with a valid degree of freedom in their chosen career.

• For HND holder (higher national diploma)

Direct entry to 300L

• For OND holder (ordinary national Diploma)

Direct entry to 200L

• For 0’level holder( WAEC, GCE or NECO)

Admission to 100L

WAUU is 100% accredited. The school is recognized worldwide and approved by the NUC. Students who graduate from this school are guaranteed to go for NYSC. 

West African Union University Tuition fee for 2023

The fee ranges from 250,000 – 450,000 Naira.

For freshers, tuition is 3000,000 Naira per year.

For transfer students, it’s 350,000 Naira per year
